Knowing Bogota (la candelaria)

when we went to visit the Candelaria was a very cool experience because we met people from around the world and learned to play shuffleboard. also visited important places of culture of Bogota.

Customs and traditions.

Bogotá is a beautiful city, the typical food of Bogotá is the santafereño ajiaco hot chocolate, canelazo, curd Roan and tamale. Bogotá was founded on August 6 of 1538.al beginning there were 12 huts church Driver jet Quevedo. Bogotá has 19 localities.

Bogota bad things is that it has many holes and jams, some bad roads. Bogotá has many famous colleges. The current climate of Bogotá is temperate.

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BOGOTA IN THE PAST AND BOGOTA IN THE PRESENT


To know how was bogota on the past and on the future we ask to some teachers of our school how was bogota during their childwood.

Alberto :  bogota was cold more than now it was dirty it     Was more Little than know and it was very different than know on the structures.
Omar: i remenber that bogota was so cold and that all the buses that are know in the past they aren’t there and the buses that were with the ferrocarril the door was open with a lever
Felipe: i remenber that bogota was more cold than know and that on chrismas every time the people eat tipical food like the sancoho on the lunch and like a tamal for breakfast.
William: bogota in the things that are know doesn’t were there for example the buses and the ferrocarril that were on the streets also get out the transmilenio it wasn’t and the city was more Little than now

Jorge Gaitan

Jorge Gaitan (Bogotá, January 23, 1903 [2] - Bogotá, April 9, 1948) was a Colombian politician and jurist, Mayor of Bogotá in 1936, Minister (Labour Education in 1940 and 1944), congressman (several periods from 1929-1948) and dissident Liberal candidate for President of the Republic for the period 1946-1950 Party. [3] His assassination in Bogotá produced massive popular protests known as The Bogotazo.

Luis Carlos Galan

Luis Carlos Galan Sarmiento ( Bucaramanga, September 29, 1943 - Bogotá, August 18, 1989 ) WAS lawyer one , economist, journalist and Political Colombia , Candidate for President of Colombia in 1982 by the New Liberalism ( Political Movement Founded BY dissolved wHEN Return to Liberal ) Party and iN 1990 bY Colombian Liberal Party

Casa de Manuelita Saenz

manuela saenz is undoubtelly one of the most interesting caracters in the wars of independecen in south america. according to her detracters , his relationship with simon bolivar opaque her own personal merits , as the one of the great defenders of the independecen of south america countrys and are of the most prominent defenders and advances warmen´right. the people go to this museum to look her dresses and all the things that she have in that epoc, the museum is located in the plazuela rufino jose cuervo, in the candelaria neughbourhood, historical in bogota with the museum trajes regionales.

Casa Del Florero

the vase of llorente is one of the most important events of the history of colombia. their know, also as the grito of the independencia that occured the 20 of july on that they in 1810, the main of this incident is actually due to the refusual of the loan from  a vase by the spanish businessman jose gonzalo llorente mr luis rubio. the people go to look at other vase of that epoc examples: dresses etc... is located on the street 7 with 11 in the corner of the north east of the bolivar square. for the history of colombia is a very important place because it took one of his higlights, know as the shoud of independece on 20 of july of 1810.

Plaza De Bolivar

Bolivar square is the main square of the city in bogota and colombia, the most of the people go there to protest about the goverment we have, specially when they violate the rights of colombian people, the most of the people who work there are political and emboladores, it is located in the center of the city between the carrer 7 and 8 with 10 and 11, it is important because is the main square of the city and colombia and because there are the most important people in colombia like the president, the govermnet of bogota and others. and next to the palacio de justicia and in that place the m19 take the control and that was the most important succes that affect the city.

Chorro De Quevedo

the square of chorro de quevedo is a public place in bogota. there he stablished his garnison. gonzalo jimenez de quesada, before founding the city in the current plaza de bolivar, that is a place where people in the era, go to extract water to the domestic things. and that created as profession called the 'aguateros.it is located at the street 13 with carrera 2 in the historical city center called la candelaria, it was recognized from the stattement in 1538 when gonzalo jimenez de quesada decide to proclaime place as the strategic point or the develop first houses of the future capital of the country, and was until 1832 when the augustinian father of surname quevedo choose to instal a fountain in the center of the square to supply water to neigbouring houses.
